Can the feeder be used outside?
Yes. The enclosure has an IP55 rating - it is waterproof and resistant to rain and dust, so the Ufeed50SMini is suitable for indoor and outdoor use all year round.
What breeds of dogs is it suitable for?
Ufeed50SMini is designed primarily for small breeds of dogs and cats, as well as birds and fish. Small fodder of fraction 1–5 mm is fed without jamming.
Does it work without wifi?
Wi-Fi is required for remote control and scheduling via the TuyaSmart App (iOS/Android). If there is no Internet at the facility, pay attention to the model with a timer (Ufeed50TSMini) — it works completely autonomously.
What is the maximum size of feed pellets?
From 1 to 5 mm - small feed is fed without getting stuck.
How many days is enough feed?
Depends on portion size and feeding schedule. The portion in Ufeed50SMini is adjustable in steps of 0.5 s of auger operation. To increase the reserve, connect an additional hopper from a 110 mm pipe.
Can you feed cats?
Yes. Ufeed50SMini is suitable for cats, small breeds of dogs, birds and fish - the main thing is that the feed is of 1-5 mm fraction.
What will happen if the electricity is turned off?
The feeder is powered by 12 V. So that the feeding schedule is not disturbed during power outages, you can connect a 12 V uninterruptible power supply (UPS) - it is also in our catalog.
What feed is suitable?
Only dry granulated fodder of a fine fraction of 1–5 mm. The Ufeed50SMini is ideal for birds, aquarium fish and small cats or dogs. Wet food, pate or natural food are not suitable.
How to install a feeder?
Installation is similar to plumbing communications: the housing is attached to the wall with clamps at a height of 1800 mm (horizontal part). The kit includes instructions with diagrams, fasteners and DC connectors. If necessary, we provide video instructions.
Can it be connected to a UPS?
Yes. The feeder is powered by 12V DC, so it easily connects to any 12V UPS. This ensures uninterrupted feeding even during power outages.
What is the volume of the bunker?
A standard hopper is designed for approximately 1–2 kg of fine feed. If desired, you can connect one or more additional hoppers from a standard 110 mm plumbing pipe - detailed instructions with installation diagrams are included.
What is the maximum length of the additional hopper?
The vertical part of the additional hopper made of a 110 mm pipe should not exceed 1000–1200 mm. If a larger volume is needed, use a 110 mm tee or twin to connect two or three hoppers. Installation diagrams are in the instructions.
Is it possible to move the control unit further from the feeder?
Yes. If the Wi-Fi signal does not reach the installation location, the control unit can be moved to a place where there is 220 V power and stable Wi-Fi. Connect it to the motor with a 2×1 mm² cable — the maximum length is up to 100 meters.
